Conference Description:
The 2011 CHEM SHOW is the latest in the series of biennial Chemical Industry Expositions based in New York City and organized by the International Exposition Company (IEC).  This year, the CHEM SHOW will be accompanied by the 2011 AIChE Northeast Regional Conference at the CHEM SHOW.  The program's format makes it easy for attendees to take in the show floor while still attending one or more sessions or workshops.  The conference is divided into three parts.  One is a topical conference on emerging areas in nanotechnology entitled the Nanotechnology 2011 Conference and Symposium.  The second offering is a group of engineering technologies tutorials organized into four tracks: Plant and Equipment Basics, Essentials in Process and Product Development, Engineering Fundamentals - Unit Operations, and The Art of Solids Handling.  Finally, the Conference on Energy, Safety, and Consulting will be reserved for hot topic programming organized by key local AIChE sections in the Northeast.  This entire offering emphasizes practical plant problem solving while also addressing cutting edge new technologies and the latest developments.  The combination of in-depth classroom knowledge and show floor demonstrations will make the 2011 CHEM SHOW and AIChE Northeast Regional Conference a unique educational experience.

Features will include:·        

• The Nanotechnology 2011 Workshops and Conference organized by Innovative Research and Products (iRAP) will focus on the synthesis, processing and application of nanoengineered materials with an emphasis on energy generation and storage, biological applications including pharmaceuticals, nanomedicine and nano-enabled devices

• More than 15 Engineering Technologies Tutorials presented by prominent experts on chemical product design and engineering, powder flow, pneumatic conveying, blending/segregation, solid-liquid separations, single and two-phase mixing, crystallization, membrane separations in food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications, and more

• Several symposia sessions constituting the Conference on Energy, Safety and Consulting, organized by the Northeast Sections of AIChE, will address critical issues such as energy savings, enhanced safety, and the role of consultants in assisting the small or lean organization
